On Tuesday, March 29, 2011, Diponegoro University Choir (PSM Undip) created a mini concert Charity In Harmony “Untukmu Febri” at Atrium Ciputra Mall Semarang. This event was collaboration between Diponegoro University Choir and Ciputra Mall.

This charity concert dedicated for our best friend, Febri which still lay on FV Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City. As we know it, he got pneumonia when he participated on 1st Vietnam International Choir Festival and Competition, two weeks later. Our team got a Grand Champion, Champion of Champions in that competition. Also 3 gold medals and 1 silver medal. Now we need a lot of money bringing back him to Indonesia. It’s over than hundred million rupiah.

In charity concert, there was a choir show, traditional dance from “UKM Kesenian Jawa Undip”, band, etc. Our competition’s video also has been played there. Many bands take part in Charity in Harmony concert; Nobels, O Jelly Fish, Acoustic in Summer, Metaforte, and Journalist band.

We didn’t expect, mall visitors had very great interest. Hundreds of people crowd around stage, especially when we started to sing. We sung a lot of song, from pop song to folklore.

Rector of Diponegoro University, Prof. Sudharto, also attended the event. He gave a speech, a short speech, but meaningful enough. About Febri, Diponegoro University Choir, that unites us all. He also thanked for achievement of becoming an international champion.

Amount of fund collected in Charity Concert is over 30 million rupiah. That was great! But, Febri still need more...
